I know I’ve left you all hanging in wondering what adventures we’d find in Iowa, and I’ll get back to the road trip in a bit, but first a brief detour through Black Rock City, Nevada.
The playa was really tough on the little plastic camera. It was plugged up after the second roll; half the times the shutter stuck open if it fired at all. With the heat and dust, the film was sticking to the inside, and the third roll was all scratched to shit. I won’t mention how many times I forgot to advance the film; the playa was tough on me too.
Considered setting the Diana on fire, but burning plastic is not cool. Next year I’ll bring a wooden Diana!
